Mike first picked up the guitar at age 7. His earliest influences included the music of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Rush, Judas Priest, and Ted Nugent. Since Mike left his home state of NJ, he has lived in Tulsa, Los Angeles, and finally Western PA, learning from other musicians and playing in bands in each location. After moving to PA, Mike played in popular local rock acts Night Breed and TKO, where he was able to apply his talents for writing original music, Blues, Classic rock, Hard rock, metal, and alternative were Mike's main styles before forming the country act Whiskey Grin with Chuck Belczyk in 2004. Mike played with WG until the act disbanded in 2010, after which he played in the rock act Echobox. Once again, Mike is back on the Country scene with Chuck in Southern Detour.
Offstage, Mike enjoys riding his Harley, songwriting, hanging out with his family and friends, watching the NY Giants, and having a cold Yuengling!
Mike plays Yuengling soaked Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Strats, and a variety of guitars through Mesa, Marshall, and Line 6 gear.
